AMERICAN NUMISMATIC AND ARCHEOLOGICAL SOCIETY
MEMBERSHIP MEDALS
George H. Lovett, an early and active
member of the American Numismatic and Archeological Society, engraved
and struck the first membership medals used by the Society in 1877.
This design was used until the Society changed it's name in 1907. He
donated a number of pieces to the Society's collection including many
of his original dies.
